Offering friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings.
Metrowest Chapter
When
a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless
and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope,
and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a
brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving
family.
WHO ARE WE?
The Compassionate
Friends is a non-profit, nonsectarian, mutual assistance, self-help organization
offering friendship and understanding to bereaved parents and siblings.
Our primary purpose is to assist the bereaved in the positive resolution of
the grief experienced upon the death of a child and to support their efforts
to achieve physical and emotional health.
The secondary purpose is to provide information and education about bereaved
parents and siblings for those who wish to understand. Our objective is to help
members of the community, including family, friends, employers, co-workers,
and professionals to be supportive.
Meetings are open to all bereaved parents and siblings. No dues or fees are
required to belong to the Metrowest Chapter of The Compassionate Friends.
